If you only want to convert a single image at a time, or are using a scanner, digital camera, or the system clipboard as your image source, you will be working in single image mode. This is done from the same screen as conversion of multiple images, but you have different tools available to you.
If you are using a scanner, camera, or the clipboard as your image source, only one image at a time may be processed. If you are working with files, you will have to specify which file you wish to work with. This is done by single or double-clicking on the image in the image list on the left side of the window.
Before you can make any conversions, you will need to select the desired manipulation options. Once those options have been set, you can output each image as you desire.
In the upper right portion of the tab pages, you will see a button which by default is labeled "Save Image As..." This button is the key to the way you output single images after you have manipulated them as you wish.
Clicking on the drop-down arrow of this option will bring up a few other output options for the current image: "Save Image As," "Copy to Clipboard" and "Make Wallpaper." Each of these should be self explanatory. Selecting an option makes it the default for the button so you can quickly re-select it again later.
Clicking the "Save Image As..." option will by default want to output images in the format selected under "Convert To..." If you wish to default to another format, select it in the "Convert To" box. Please note, however, that you are not forced to save images in the selected format; you can output in any of the formats supported by selecting it in the drop-down box in the Save Image dialog box.
