I would like to restore a file which has been backed up by FileBack PC |
FileBack PC offers several options for restoring data. But in all
cases in order to restore a file, FileBack PC has to know how the file was
backed up. This information is contained within a backup job.
If the backup job which created a backup does not exist you will need to
restore your previous configuration (FileBack.FBCfg) file, or recreate the
backup job manually. Once this is done, choose one of the following
restoration methods:
- On the "Maintenance Tools" page click either the "Restoration Wizard"
or "Quick Restore" button. The "Restoration Wizard" is used to
restore multiple files using specific search criteria, and the "Quick
Restore" feature is used when you want to restore just a few files and
know the exact location and filenames.
- From the "Backup Entries" tab page, click on the
backup job which
created the backup. Next, either right-click on the entry and select
"Restore," or click the drop-down arrow on the "Backup" button and select
"Restore from Current Entry"
- If the "Explorer Context Menu Integration" file is turned on locate
original the file in the source folder, or one of the backup copies in the
destination folder, then right click the file and select "FileBack PC
Tasks." In the list of tasks select one of the restore options.
The restoration wizard will then be displayed where you can choose the
appropriate options and restore your data.
